Growing up, I never really understood the point of herbs; they were just the weird-tasting green bits that I always left on the side of my plate, or sat in dusty jars on a shelf in the kitchen until someone noticed that they were three years past their use-by date, so as an adult it took me a while to work out just how tasty and versatile these little plants can be.
These days, like most people, I have a small selection of favourites that my kitchen is never without, but I’m always on the lookout for new flavours to spice up meal times and new devices to make herb preparation a little easier and this year I have discovered a wealth of new products for sowing, growing and using herbs. read more...
